Irresistibly interactive handmade (pun intended) dresser by Cooper Union design student Lucy Pan. She shared with me that the hands were cast from those of a few of her fellow students. I would love to see these made out of brass.
This interactive ottoman, created by design student Lynn Minji Cho, made me so happy. The “pokes” are made of solid wood, set on springs that retract when the user applies pressure. When you sit on it, the spikes fully retract, providing a comfortable seat that defies prejudice + expectations.

Chair from SCAD design student. While this guy is without a doubt a tripping hazard, I can’t deny how much I love its playfulness - no doubt there’s a way to make it ADA compliant without having to sacrifice too much of the aesthetic.
